Data Protection

The JAZYKOVÁ ŠKOLA takes data protection very seriously and handles personal data with due care. By using our website, you consent to our privacy policy and the use of cookies. We process personal data exclusively for the purpose for which it was provided, and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Electronic Communications Act and the Postal Services Act. We never sell data to third parties and only provide it to third parties where they are involved in carrying out activities such as trainers, translators, (virtual) assistants, accountants and the tax authorities.

Personal data we process

The JAZYKOVÁ ŠKOLA processes your personal data in connection with your use of our services and/or the data you provide to us yourself. We only process data that you provide to us yourself.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

• First name and surname

• Gender

• Address details

• Year of birth

• Level of education (required on the registration form)

• Telephone number

• Email address

• Bank account number

What we use personal data for

We collect and store personal data for the following purposes:

  • We use your first name and email address to send newsletters and/or for our marketing purposes in connection with adverts on Facebook and Instagram. We do this only with data obtained through requests for promotional items and/or training courses, not with data obtained via our contact form. If you do not wish to receive emails from us in future, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of our newsletter. Your data will be immediately removed from our database and will not be retained. Your personal data is stored in our email software. You can find information about Webnode's privacy policy here.
  • Your company name, surname, address and, where applicable, bank account number are used to process your payment or to send invoices.
  • We use your first name, telephone number and email address where necessary to provide our services.
  • We use your first name, email address and telephone number, which you enter in the contact form, to respond to your enquiry. We store your data in our Student Management System or in an Excel file. In our reply email, we will also inform you of your right to access your data or have it deleted from the CMS / Excel file, in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
  • Once you have submitted your enquiry, we will contact you if necessary to check whether you have any further questions regarding the offer.
  • In our language course registration form, we ask you to provide personal data, which we will also share with your designated (external) tutor. There are two reasons for this: information about your age, education and practical experience enables the tutor to prepare for the course in the best possible way. During the course, the tutor may contact you directly in the event of any exceptional circumstances.
  • The JAZYKOVÁ ŠKOLA works with external entities and organisations (third parties) to organise language courses and provide translation services.
  • We also process personal data in cases where we are legally obliged to do so, for example, data we need to file a tax return.
  • We also use Microsoft Office and Apple's iCloud.

How long we retain personal data

We do not retain your data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. If you unsubscribe from our newsletter, your personal data will be deleted from our system within one month. In order to comply with our legal obligations, we retain data in our accounting system for a period of at least 7 years. We also retain data from our CRM system for at least 7 years. We reserve the right, where required by law, to retain this data for longer and/or to keep it available.

Sharing personal data with third parties

We share your personal data with third parties where this is necessary to fulfil your order and to comply with any legal obligations. We enter into a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data. We remain responsible for these processing operations. In addition, in certain cases we may provide your personal data to other third parties. We do so only with your express consent. If we receive a request to translate a text containing personal data, please remove such data or redact it to protect your privacy. Security of personal data We have implemented appropriate measures to protect personal data against misuse, loss or other forms of unauthorised processing. These measures ensure a level of security appropriate to the nature of the data we process. If you feel that your data is nevertheless not sufficiently secure, or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us at jazykyunicov@jazykyunicov.cz. Cookie Policy

Where we use cookies, these are functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small file that is stored in the browser of the device you are using to visit our website when you first visit this website. We use, or will use, these cookies exclusively for technical reasons. They ensure that the website functions correctly and that it remembers your preferred settings, for example. These cookies are also used to ensure the website functions correctly and to optimise it.

In addition, we may place cookies that track your browsing behaviour so that we can offer you personalised content and adverts. These include, amongst others, cookies from Facebook, which ensure that you are shown relevant adverts. You can find more information about Facebook cookies here.

Cookies are also stored by the Google Analytics and Webnode analytics tool. These cookies are used to optimise the website. The information is anonymised as far as possible. Accessing, amending or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given to the processing of your data, or to object to the processing of your personal data by JAZYKOVÁ ŠKOLA, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can send us a request to provide the personal data we hold about you in electronic form, either to you or to another organisation of your choice.

You can send a request to access, correct, delete or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to jazykyunicov@jazykyunicov.cz.

To ensure that it is indeed you submitting the request to access your data, we ask you to attach a copy of your identity document to the request. Please black out your passport photograph, the MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), your passport number and your personal identification number (RČ) on this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks.
