The language school is me, I am the language school...
Thanks to the language school, I've met wonderful people throughout my adult life – students and teachers alike. Thanks to the language school, I'm living my dream; I'm free – although that freedom comes with the responsibility to do my job just as well and to the highest standard. My work is, in fact, an everyday part of my personal life. And when I'm not dealing with matters related to the language school, I relax through sport, travelling, books, coffee and matcha, family and friends; I love nature, positive and inspiring people, and life itself. I try to live my life to the full and enjoy it, rather than just getting by. I'm proud of all the students and teachers – it's thanks to you, too, that I have such a wonderful life! :)
Nick Zijlstra (English)
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I have lived and worked abroad for more than twenty years – seven years in Germany and thirteen in Luxembourg. During that time, I have worked with international agencies and gained a wealth of intercultural experience.
I'm an enthusiastic person with many hobbies: motorbikes, stealth-camping, open-air rock concerts… I enjoy anything with a touch of adventure.
I'm currently using my international experience to help older teenagers, adults and corporate teams communicate more confidently in English. I teach small groups of up to six people, which means you'll get genuine interaction, personalised feedback and lessons tailored to your field and your goals. No dry grammar guides – just practical, real-life communication.

Petra Mihal (English)
Hello, my name is Petra! I'm from the Czech Republic and Czech is my mother tongue. I lived in the United States for over 20 years, where English became a natural part of my everyday life.
As I learnt English as a second language myself, I fully understand the challenges students face. My aim is to help you speak with greater confidence through practical, enjoyable and supportive lessons.
I enjoy working with people and am interested in personal development, psychology, traditional Chinese medicine and holistic health, and I love spending time in nature. I believe that learning English can be inspiring, fun and something you'll look forward to!
Brianna Anderson (English)
My name is Brianna and I am a native English speaker from the US state of Washington. I hold dual citizenship – of the United States and the Czech Republic. Although I was born and raised in the US, I often travelled to the Czech Republic to visit my family. In October 2025, I decided to move here and since then I have been enjoying the opportunity to get to know this country in greater depth.
I believe that every conversation is an opportunity to learn something new, and I love connecting with people from all over the world. I look forward to meeting new people, sharing stories and continuing my journey here in the Czech Republic.
Martina Kovářová (Spanish, Czech)
Hi, my name is Marťa and I teach Spanish and Czech at a language school. What I enjoy most about teaching is interacting with people who are also passionate about languages. I'm currently studying for a Master's degree in Spanish Philology at university. I generally love languages, which is why I'm also starting a Bachelor's degree in Korean in September. As well as languages, I enjoy drawing and computer games.
Dagmar Koutná (English)
My name is Dáša Koutná, and for me, teaching English is, above all, about collaboration and understanding the student's needs. I believe in a personalised approach, and my main aim is to find the ideal and most effective learning method for each individual. I also keep my love of languages alive by studying Spanish.
I find balance and peace through practising yoga and active relaxation whilst hiking in the mountains. I look forward to seeing you at our first lesson!
I hold a bachelor's degree in Korean and an international certificate in teaching English as a second language – these are the languages I teach at our language school. I believe that learning a new language should be fun, but it also requires consistency and determination, and that is precisely what I enjoy most about teaching.
My students' progress and attitude motivate me to pursue my own goals and challenges (which include, for example, playing tennis or conquering the hundred highest peaks in the Czech Republic). In my spare time, you'll find me playing one of my favourite sports, with a book in my hand over a good cup of coffee, or watching (and commenting on) my favourite TV series.
Eliška Bazalková (Czech, English)
Hi! My name is Eliška and I teach English at a language school. And this year marks a little milestone for me – I've been teaching at the language school for 10 years now :-) I successfully completed my degree in Czech and English at Palacký University.
What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing my students' progress and their delight when they form a perfect sentence for the first time during a conversation. Apart from teaching, I'm currently kept very busy by our puppy, a female Golden Retriever called Mango. I also enjoy reading and baking.
Iva Meisterová (German)
My name is Iva Meisterová and I am a German language tutor. I have been learning German since primary school and have always enjoyed it. I studied the language and spent some time in both Germany and Austria.
I am happy to help anyone who wants or needs to improve their German. My students' success is a wonderful and heart-warming reward for me.
Nathalie Ponticelli (Italian)
Hello, my name is Nathalie Ponticelli and I teach Italian at the language school. What I enjoy most about my work is seeing the progress my students make and the joy they get from it.
It's wonderful to see how complete beginners gradually become confident students who can make themselves understood and hold basic conversations in Italian. It is precisely this progress and the joy of learning that are my greatest motivation.
English has been a passion of mine and a 'place' where I feel at home ever since I studied at the English section of Hejčín Grammar School. I took most of my subjects and my A-levels in English, and during my university studies I also began teaching the language. I have been teaching at a language school since 2022, mainly online but also in person in Olomouc.
In my lessons, I like to use interactive tools and quizzes, whilst tailoring my teaching to the needs and pace of each student. I try to explain grammar as simply and clearly as possible, which students often appreciate in their feedback. It's important to me that lessons are not only useful, but also enjoyable and fun.
Veronika Pěchová (English)
Hello! My name is Veronika. I am currently completing my Master's degree in English Language Teaching at Palacký University in Olomouc. English and working with children have always been my hobbies, and I enjoy sharing this interest with others. I believe that learning English needn't be merely about rote learning of grammar rules, but above all about the joy of discovering a new language, the courage to speak, and natural communication.
In my lessons, I strive to create a friendly and safe environment where making mistakes isn't something to be afraid of, but a step forward. My aim is for the lessons to be fun for the children, to boost their confidence in speaking, and to show them that English can be a great companion for life.
My name is Vojtěch and I teach English. What I enjoy most about teaching is working with people and seeing how students gradually improve and gain more confidence in their English.
I try to make the lessons relaxed, whilst ensuring that the students get something out of them. In my spare time, I enjoy sport, travelling and exploring new places.
Hi, I'm Monča! I'm currently studying art at university and I hold a B2 certificate. I see English as a tool for communication, but I also focus on grammar and expanding vocabulary. In my lessons, I try to create a relaxed atmosphere where it's perfectly fine not to know something, to ask questions or to make a mistake.
I tailor my lessons to each student and look for ways to make English not only useful but also fun. I take great care in my preparation to ensure that every lesson is different and packed with content.
I am a qualified translator and interpreter of English, and I have been working at the language school since 2022. What I enjoy most about teaching is being able to pass on my knowledge in an interesting and accessible way.
The greatest reward for me is seeing how my students improve over time and gain confidence. I enjoy all forms of art, am interested in the world around me, and enjoy discussing a wide range of current topics with my students.
I've been studying English since nursery, when I started attending a private school with an extended English programme, which I continued with right through to secondary school. I gradually reached C2 level and have now been tutoring English for three years. As well as English, I also tutor maths.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching my clients' progress and seeing that our work together is really helping them. I try to ensure that lessons take place in a relaxed atmosphere and that my clients aren't afraid to ask questions and really get into the conversation.
Bohumila Sovová (Italian)
Hi, I teach Italian at Hana's language school. I've been doing so for 15 years now. I'm glad there's interest in this language too – that not everyone is just learning English – and I enjoy seeing my students' enthusiasm and progress. I try to teach them everything in a simple way and in a friendly atmosphere. But of course, nothing comes for free, so my students have to do their homework too :-)
As well as Italian, I love spending time with my granddaughter. Travelling is also one of my passions.
David Hrubý (English)
49 years old, married and a father of three. Family is everything to me, and humour is an integral part of it. Tennis is both my passion and my job, whilst travelling is a way for me to discover new places and enjoy life.
I enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, good company and, above all, moments that stay with you forever.
Tereza Steigerová (English)
Hello! My name is Tereza, I'm from Litovel, and English is my great passion. This autumn, I'll be starting a degree in journalism at Palacký University in Olomouc.
At the language school in Litovel, I teach both group and one-to-one English lessons, in which we focus on practical conversation as well as clear explanations of grammar. What I enjoy most about teaching is meeting new people, watching their gradual progress and, above all, sharing the joy of learning a foreign language with ease and without fear of making mistakes.
When I'm not teaching or studying, I devote my time to music – I play the piano and compose my own songs. I love spending my free time with family and friends, and when I want to switch off completely, I enjoy watching a good film or TV series.

Martina Holínková (German, Czech)
My name is Martina and I teach German and Czech, including courses for foreign learners. I graduated from Palacký University in Olomouc. Having spent time studying and working as an au pair abroad, I strive to teach my students a foreign language in such a way that they are able to put it to immediate use in everyday life.
I place great importance on a friendly atmosphere, where mistakes are not a problem but a means of progress. I strive to make my lessons dynamic and to encourage natural communication, so that students lose their shyness and begin to think for themselves in the foreign language. My free time is currently taken up by my children. When I have the chance, I love reading and wandering in the countryside.
Markéta Hájková (German)
My name is Markéta and I teach German at the language school. Having spent 13 years in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and in Germany, I know all the language 'tricks' and enjoy introducing them to my students.
I also like to show them the connections with languages they already know, so that German doesn't feel like a foreign language to them. When I'm not teaching, I'm mainly kept busy by my own children and coaching children in the athletics academy.
Aneta Směřičková (English)
Hello, my name is Aneta and I have been teaching English at a language school for a few years now. I am a student at Palacký University in Olomouc, where I study English and music education with a focus on education.
I adapt my teaching to the needs of the students and together we focus on what the students are most interested in and want to develop in themselves.
My goal is to teach English to children and adults of all ages, because I believe that languages are not just for children in schools and that people can learn at any age.

Hi, my name is Matty. I have been teaching English since kindergarten and I also study it at Palacký University in Olomouc together with music education.
I like music, playing musical instruments and studying foreign languages. I believe that English is useful for everyone and everyone can find something they enjoy in it.
I try to develop in my students a passion for English and adapt my teaching to make it fun for them.
Helena Němečková (Spanish)
Hi, my name is Helena and I am an enthusiastic and experienced Spanish teacher at a language school. Spanish has become my passion and life purpose throughout my life. My interest in this language led me to Palacký University in Olomouc, where I studied Spanish Philology.
I really enjoy working with people, I am communicative and what I enjoy most about teaching is that I can answer any question students have about how the Spanish language works, but also provide them with practical information that they won't find in any textbooks.
Honza Škoda (Spanish, Portuguese)
Hola, qué tal!
My name is Honza and I would like to teach you the language of sangria, flamenco and castanets.
I have been actively studying Spanish for over ten years, I graduated from a six-year bilingual grammar school with a high school diploma in Spanish and continued my studies at university. I hold a "Título de bachiller" - a high school diploma equivalent to secondary education in Spain. I will explain pronunciation, vocabulary and the most complex grammar to you in a clear way. I have extensive experience in Spanish theatre. I love Pedro Almodóvar's films, I watch La Liga and I listen to Latin American hip hop. I have traveled all over Spain, I have visited the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and Peru.
In addition to Spanish, I also teach Portuguese. I have been studying the language of seafaring explorers, Brazilian samba and Cristiano Ronaldo for five years. I studied Portuguese philology at Palacký University and during two Erasmus in Portugal. I traveled the entire country and its islands of Madeira and the Azores.
In short, in my classes you will learn perfect Spanish or Portuguese, you will be able to converse and you will learn a lot of interesting things about Iberian and Latin American culture.
Jana Hýblová (English)
I have been teaching English for many years and what I enjoy most about my job is meeting interesting and motivated people. I enjoy finding ways to make English more relevant to each student's specific needs and showing that learning is not just about grammar and vocabulary.
I focus on practical and useful English that students can use in everyday situations – at work, on the go and in everyday communication. I want students to not only learn English, but above all, not be afraid to use it.
In my free time, I like to travel and go cycling. Travelling constantly reminds me of how important it is to be able to communicate and feel confident in English.
